“Ideas and Symbolism that are superbly executed”

Lois has worked as a set and costume designer and scenic artist across many genres of performance since 2005. She has been short listed for the Linbury Prize for Stage Design and was a finalist in the BBC Design Vision competition.

In 2012, her designs for dreamthinkspeak were selected to represent UK design for performance as part of the V&A’s exhibition: Transformation & Revelation: Gormley to Gaga.

At the root of her work is a deep need to create visual and sensory worlds in support of great stories that explore what it is to be human right now.

Collaborations include: Teatro Pomodoro; Mark Bell; Theatre Porto (previously Action Transport Theatre), National Museums Liverpool; Northern Spirit; dreamthinkspeak; John Wright (Told by an Idiot); Monkeywood Theatre; The Lowry; 20 Stories High; Royal de Luxe, COAL Theatre; Royal Exchange Manchester; Lakeland Opera and work on the BBC Comedy series The Mighty Boosh

Lois is Programme LeaderLecturer for the BA (Hons) Theatre and Performance Design degree course at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA); where she has been a core member of teaching staff since 2013.
